a little bit about me...
Hello, I’m Amy — the face (and heart) behind Nest Mama Doula.
I’m a real people person and feel most at home when I’m chatting away (preferably over a good cup of tea!). If I can make someone laugh, then I know it’s a good day. When I’m not with families, you’ll often find me reading, walking in the woods, or simply soaking up some quiet time outdoors.
Calm, honest, and unflappable, I tend to take life as it comes — probably thanks to growing up as one of four children! I’ve had many different roles over the years, but the common thread has always been supporting people. Looking back, I think I’ve always been a Doula at heart.
I first heard about postnatal Doulas on the school run one morning, and something just clicked. I knew instantly that this was what I was meant to do — how had I only just discovered it? After training with Nurturing Birth, I began doing the work that truly lights me up: supporting new mums as they find their rhythm in those early weeks.
Through Nest Mama Doula, I offer gentle, practical and emotional support to help you rest, recover, and gain confidence in your own instincts — because, after all, Mother knows best.

Deaf Family Support
I feel passionate about all families having the right to receive support on their journey into parenthood. Sadly, this isn't always the case and alot of Deaf women and families do not have the same access to support as hearing people do.
I hold a BSL Level 3 certificate and I can provide Deaf families with Doula support. Deaf mother, partner or child, I feel that support should be available to all at this precious and challenging time.
Please get in touch if you or someone you know could benefit from this support at

For BSL users:
My view, all families have the right to support when having a baby. Unfortunately, many Deaf people not access support. Why? Lack of Deaf awareness, funding and services. Not equal.
Me have qualification BSL Level 3. I want to help Deaf families. Give them doula support. No matter if Deaf Mother, father or child, should have access to the right support though challenging times.
